GAP, France (AP) -- Frenchman Pierrick Fedrigo won stage 14 of the Tour de France on Sunday, while Spain's Oscar Pereiro kept the overall lead.

Fedrigo, of the Bouygues Telecom team, beat Italy's Salvatore Commesso at the line. Pereiro and American Floyd Landis, who is second overall, both finished in a group together, 7 seconds behind the winner.

Pereiro's lead over Landis remained at 1 minute and 29 seconds, with Frenchman Cyril Dessel third, 1:37 behind.

The 112-mile course ran from Montelimar to Gap, in the foothills of the Alps, and the riders cycled under a scorching sun. The hilly stage was marked by a spectacular crash involving David Canada and Rik Verbrugghe.

Verbrugghe, a Belgian rider for Cofidis, and Canada, a Spaniard with Saunier Duval, were taken to a hospital after crashing on a descent about 25 miles from the finish.

The Tour's doctor, Gerard Porte, said that Canada injured his right collarbone and that Verbrugghe hurt a leg.

Fedrigo's stage win was the first at this Tour for the Bouygues team.

Team CSC rider Christian Vandevelde was third, 3 seconds behind Fedrigo and Commesso, who rides with Lampre and finished in the same time.

Monday is the three-week race's second and last rest day before the Alps, which start Tuesday. Those mountains and the final time trial on Saturday are expected to decide the outcome of the race.

CBS Radio Cuts Back Workforce
All Access has learned that CBS RADIO has cut a reported 115 employees from its payroll.

A memo from JOEL HOLLANDER tells employees "as you may have heard, this afternoon we gave notice to a number of our colleagues at CBS RADIO. This step is part of an initiative designed to manage costs as we move to reshape and restructure our radio group. Reducing headcount is never easy, and as we do so, I want to assure you of several things. First, this is an altogether necessary step, one designed to ensure our competitiveness and position us for future growth in a changing business. While any number of such cutbacks is painful, today’s move affects a small overall percentage of CBS RADIO employees, and I don’t anticipate additional plans along these lines.

"As I said, the radio business is changing, and we have to change with it. There is increased competition for our listener’s attention, and we must deploy our resources wisely and aggressively if we are to succeed and grow. Across the nation, we are responding with programming and format changes at many of our stations, and working to bring our message to our audience with expanded and creative marketing initiatives."

HOLLANDER did not specify the number of employees headed out the door, but REUTERS reports that the number is approximately 115 of the company's over 8.500 employees.

Mancow's Final Show From Q101 July 14th
According to AllAccess EMMIS Alternative WKQX (Q101)/CHICAGO announced today (7/11) that the final broadcast of MANCOW'S MORNING MADHOUSE will air on the station on FRIDAY, JULY 14th.

On MONDAY, JULY 17th, Q101 will kick off a music-intensive "SUMMER OF SHUFFLE" to match Q101’s "ON SHUFFLE" programming the rest of the day hosted by longtime Q101 vet JAMES VAN OSDOL. Q101 is planning to launch a new morning show on SEPTEMBER 18th.

EMMIS/CHICAGO VP/GM MARV NYREN said, "It’s an exciting time here at Q101. ‘Q101 ON SHUFFLE’ which represents 85 percent of our weekly programming has proven to be incredibly popular with our listenership, which primarily is composed of individuals within the 18-49 demographic. In light of this, we’ve decided that the time has come for us to develop a morning show that will better serve the needs and sensibilities of this audience. These changes will provide our core listeners with a format that they can enjoy continuously, all day, every day."

EMMIS/CHICAGO VP/Programming MIKE STERN added, "MANCOW has been an enormous asset to Q101, and we’re grateful to him for his eight great years at the station. MANCOW is a tremendous talent, and we wish him all the best in his
future endeavors. While we are sad to part ways, for Q101 to continue to grow and expand our audience, we realize that it’s important for us to provide listeners with a morning show with broader appeal that better fits the tone of the rest of the station’s programming. We believe we have that show and will be excited to bring it to CHICAGO this FALL."

Mancow Seeking New Flagship

In a statement released TUESDAY, MANCOW MULLER announced that he is seeking a new flagship station to replace Q101 after fulfilling his present contract with the station.

"I am committed to honor my current agreement with EMMIS to continue broadcasting MANCOW'S MORNING MADHOUSE from Q101 through the duration of my contract," said MULLER. "However, to expand my audience without interference I need a new partner."
